Learn Hexadecimal

Here’s something worth reading.

Stuff What Boys Can Do over at Fugitivus is a collection of stories about men being awesome, or sometimes just decent, in defence of women and their rights. Simultaneously heartwarming, inspiring, and useful.

It’s worth checking back to every so often; when I looked just now it had doubled in size since the first time I saw it.

  1. She closed the thread to comments. I’ve got a couple. I recently stopped at a convenience store and was locking up my bike when this visibly, smellably drunk guy started leaning way into me and eyeballing my bike. I assume he was going to ask about its folding capabilities, because people are always asking me about my folding bike. But he was uncomfortably close and very drunk and I was kind of afraid he was going to puke on me or grab my boob or something. These other guys walking by started talking to the drunk guy in this exuberantly friendly tone that grabbed his attention. It gave me space to get away. I think they did it on purpose, but they were subtle and diplomatic about it so I’m not entirely sure.
Also, at this party in college, this otherwise sexist douchebag I was dating saw a guy trying to feel up this girl who’d had too much to drink and was semi-conscious and immobile. My sexist douchebag boyfriend stared daggers at the rapey douchebag until the rapey douchebag laid off the girl.
